I've been writing this blog over the course of months. I've been reading about tattoo removal even longer. It's dawned on me that some of the information I thought was correct when I typed, may have been incorrect. I don't want to edit posts so anything I type here is (as far as I know) factual information. Happy to post any corrections on this page too.

Lasers

• Q-switched passive - Cannot break down tattoo particles small enough to be completely removed
• Q-switched active - Can break down tattoo particles small enough to be completely removed
• Nd:Yag - Q-Switched - need more info
• Ruby - Q-Switched, works better on some colours - need more info
• Picosure - Picosecond laser, currently meant to be the best laser for tattoo removal

Healing

Stay healthy

The advice I got for healing:

• Keep it cool (immediately afterwards)
• Get plenty of cardio exercise
• Drink lots of water
• Ensure good nutrition
• Don't smoke
